The Birth Order

This blog is about the author Frank J. Sulloway and a chapter from his book called "Birth order and sibling competition". Frank J. Sulloway wrote this to show the difference of siblings In a house hold. He writes about things like sibling competition, why siblings are different, and biological aspects of bith order. The thing that bothers me the most about Frank J. Sulloway is that he kind of makes no sense in some birth orders. For example he says that a first born that acts like a second born is a honorary second born. He says the same thing about second borns. To me how can a first born be a honorary second born? Every person is different, but he just observed that most first borns are parental toward their younger brothers or sisters. But he didn't know what to do about the people who didn't fit in this category so he called them honorary first borns and honorary second borns.

Some interesting analysis. But I'm afraid that instead of refuting Sulloway, you have demonstrated your own lack of understanding of his term "honorary laterborn." It is not used because he can't fit people into a category but because he has found a new way to analyze some firstborns who experienced parental conflict. Don't hesitate to criticize, but when you do it helps to first understand what you have critiqued!
